A Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year

Once again I am behind with the blog. This is about our holiday in Las Vegas. Totally different to what we usually do. We stayed at the Planet Hollywood - large room and very comfortable. Siva wanted to try out the slot machines almost immediately.

We went and saw the water show at the Bellagio. The music and the water was so soothing, almost erased away the jet lag after a 11-hour flight. The indoor garden was beautiful. It was in the Halloween theme.

We visited most of the hotels down the strip. Love The Venetian- the interior was beautiful.

Siva enjoyed the casino especially when he was on a winning streak.

Visit to China

I have not been blogging for a while - over six months. I have to say something about my trip to China in May this year

I visited Shanghai, Beijing, Xian and did a 4 night cruise down the Yangtze River. The cruise was great fun. Our fellow passengers were great and we all got on well. One of the places we explored was Fengdu, the Ghost City. The statues were scary and ugly. The atmosphere was eerie.

The staff entertained us in the evenings with songs and dances.

Climbed the Great Wall in Beijing and saw Terracotta Soldiers in Xian.

A busy day at work, covering two meetings, arranging more meetings and updating two busy managers' diaries.

My work place is being refurbished. The second floor is now being painted. I just could not believe my eyes when I saw the door frames and skirting boards being painted pink. I do not know how I am going to cope with all this pink.

It is my birthday today, a good day to start a blog.

Had a pleasant day today. Visited a good friend who shares the same birthday. We had not seen each other since our birthdays last year. Made a resolution to meet up more this year.

I also received a call from another friend, I have not spoken to for a very long time. We had a long chat catching up our news.

I received a card from work yesterday. As I had joined a new team, did not think they knew about my birthday. Our offices had flooded – workmen left a tap open in the gents loo on the first floor. Most of the morning was spent looking for desks to work from.
